Apple Cider Vinegar for dreads detox

What is ACV detoxing method? And why it’s so popular?

ACV is an Apple cider vinegar rinse where you use baking soda, lemon juice, and Apple cider vinegar. and it’s just really good for both your skin and hair.  The residue in your dreads will be drawn out by baking soda, making it easier to rinse or wash out. But the PH of backing soda is up to 8, which is much higher than human hair. That is why we need to add Apple cider vinegar to it. ACV (apple cider vinegar) includes acetic acid, as well as other nutrients that are beneficial to hair. It just helps to like re-balance your pH in the baking soda and all of that stuff will inhibit fungal and bacteria growth.

Deep clean your dreads step by step

Step1: Prepare the ingredients and simply comb your hair

ingredients you need for ACV:

1/2 cup of baking soda,

1 tablespoon of lemon juice,

3 cups of Apple cider vinegar,

Warm water.

Other things you might need:

comb, tea tree oil, shampoo, deep conditioner.

The preparation of your locks:

Before doing deep cleansing, for helping the detox procedures better, you could picked out the dirt at the roots of your dreadlocks. You could go through your whole head and go through each lock. Just to separate the root of each lock, you could see all of that build up stacking there. Using a comb to pull the root a bit apart, try to clear out all of that dandruff and gel or wax left. Clear it out a little bit at the root so that it’ll be easier for soaking the locks later.

step2:get a hair soaking tub

Portable Shampoo Bowl for dreads detox

Get yourself a Portable Shampoo Bowl like this. This helps you to soak and dip all your hair better.

step3:mixture all the materials

Mix the warm water with 1/2 cup of baking soda, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 3 cups of Apple cider vinegar.  Or you could just eyeball the water as much water as you feel is right. Then stir everything together, and make sure the water temperature is perfect for you.

step4:Soak your hair in the tub, squeeze dirt, and rinse every lock

Next, just soak your hair locks into it ( or you could ask a friend to do the detoxing for you if you are not familiar with it.) You could focus on your locks, especially the roots that you just dug up. You want to make sure all of that build up gets out of there. And squeeze it out of the locks; push out all the dirt-looking build up of your locks. If you look close you can see that the longer your hair sits the muggier the water gets.

After taking care of your every lock, run that water over your hair to make sure to rinse your roots. Of cause, the main part here is always the soaking all the length of your locks. because it’s the oldest part of your hair.

step5: Detoxing time and repeat it depending on your need

When you’re doing this, please allow your locks to soaked for about 15-20 minutes. After one wash just to get the product out, you could do another detox. Depending on how much how dirty your hair detoxes in the one setting. Usually, you can do detox 1-3 times the whole year. Too much deep cleansing would hurt or break your locks.

Step6: shampoo your hair and dry it.

After the ACV detoxing processing is complete, use the organic shampoo to wash your hair entirely. You could use tea tree oil to do a hair treatment after shampoo and deep condition then retwisting your hair.
